Education rights attorney Jennifer Chang authored an article for the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal, titled, “The Complex Legal Terrain of Special Education Law,” which discusses how relatable legal situations beyond education can impact the rights of children with special needs.

The article demonstrates how family law and personal injury lawyers, among others, can benefit from developing professional networks involving special education attorneys to maintain the best interests of children with special needs throughout legal matters such as contested divorce and physical assault.

“Legal concerns involving children with special needs reach well beyond educational service complaints. Legal professionals who handle family law matters and other claims that involve children with disabilities must possess an understanding of special education law and its application in legal situations that involve those children.”
